SET ASIDE FUNDS FOR A VALUED INVESTMENT

Imagine that you’ve faced and overcome your challenge. For example, imagine that you’re fully confident in every business or social situation, or that your employees are treating prospects and customers with the utmost in professionalism.

What would that be worth to you? How would that positively affect your business and your profitability? Keep that value in mind as you determine how much you’re willing to invest in an image specialist.

Outfits that Bring Out the Best in You
Trying to be someone that you are not by dressing overly sexy or too young for your age is out. What looks sexy on a 20 year old does not really match a woman in her 40is and up. Just be yourself.

Accentuate the positive: (Pick an outfit that plays up your best assets). A top or dress that has long, sheer sleeves is a great way to camouflage untrimmed arms. A pair of pants that is fuller on the bottom is a great way to balance out round hips. Also wearing pants or skirts at the lower hip is more flattering for rounder hips.

For Television Appearances wearing white or too bold prints seldom compliments the wearer. What looks best on screen are soft colors and what works really nice is, mixing fabrics, (example: velvet with satin or chiffon with a woven fabric).

Use color to express a bright, positive attitude
Wearing black is safe and maybe appropriate, but color gives a positive, optimistic and confident look. The right color for your complexion makes your eyes sparkle and your cheeks rosy.

ACCESSORIZING
Wearing too much Jewelry can be an overwhelming sight. Simplicity is the key and I always recommend that if you want to wear a necklace not to wear earrings with it and vice versa.

If you want to wear a bracelet make sure it goes with the necklace or the earrings you are wearing. (That does not mean they have to match but that they are of the same period and in the same genre.) It is too confusing for the eyes and most of the time it is too busy with the clothes we’re wearing.

Hair and Make-Up
When it comes to Hair have a very clean look and don’t make it up too big, for everything on the television screen looks 30% bigger.

When it comes to Makeup have a very clean but sophisticated look. The eyes are good if you make them stronger than your every day look but make sure your lips are done in a natural color and just a hint of shine for that youthful look we want.

Be comfortable
Most of all you don’t want to be tugging at your outfit and convey all sorts of messages – like insecurity and doubt. You want to look secure and confident of your self and in what you are wearing.

For our Male Clients! See : How BMI Can Help Men
I always suggest to male clients to stay away from wearing bold or colored stripes on television. It takes away from their overall look and it hurts the eyes.

Go with grays, blues, dark green and with this I suggest a pale pinstriped shirt and a colored tie this is a young and classic look. A pastel colored shirt is always good. That has a very smart look to it. Wearing a striped suit tends to flicker on the television screen.

You also want to have a clean look, which means shaving and use little moisturizer on your skin that gives you a natural glow and a healthy look. (You don’t want to over do it. Too much moisturizer creates a shine, due to the lights and that is not flattering). You will want a healthy youthful look.

You can also do a moisturizing mask the night before. This will give enough moisture to the skin for the next day. If you have very dry skin, make sure to moisturize a little in the morning, as well.

Don’t try too hard
Trying to convey your career or your lifestyle through your outfit can be over doing it. (You don’t need to wear a pinstripe suit to convey you’re a corporate attorney or wear a pair of jeans and a flannel shirt to show that you raise horses).

Go for who you feel you are. We are not our jobs.
